Soph Far So Good

Another blog, another wonderful announcement of a fresh face joining the StrategiQ team. This time, we’re welcoming Sophie Walker, SEO Specialist, into the mix as she takes the next step in her SEO career.

Shall we find out a little more about Sophie?

Sophie is a learning (and mastery) enthusiast, a mindset that started with her degree in English Literature at Bath Spa University. Sophie has since pivoted her interests and gone where the wind has taken her across a range of roles, including Insurance Risk Management Advisor, Architectural Ironmonger, Business Developer, Website Content Coordinator and SEO Account Handler and even a Crew Trainer at McDonalds!

It’s safe to say she’s got a lot of real-world experience, with expertise across multiple industries and role types. Somehow, she finally settled on SEO being her passion (though I’d be keen to see her break out the ironmongery skills)!

As you can probably tell from her many different adventures, Sophie is ambitious and driven, and has worked incredibly hard to reach the skill level she is at now. Sophie’s passion for digital marketing is clear. She loves the idea of helping people do amazing things and reach their goals – while hitting her own – and being involved in the bigger picture of not only businesses but people’s success.

So what does Sophie do for fun?

Sophie’s dedication to her passion means she likes to make it count when she takes a rest from learning new skills and developing herself. She loves long baths, relaxing at home with a good show, some music or a book or trashy magazine so she can switch off. A walk on the beach in summer and a hot chocolate on a walk in the winter are favourite activities for Sophie, as well as the odd roller skating session with her partner to unwind. Or, if she’s feeling energetic, an obstacle course or adventure like Go-Ape is a great way to keep Sophie smiling.

Why did she choose StrategiQ?

“The idea of working with so many ambitious and focused individuals was massively appealing. It felt like a great opportunity for me to hone my skills and develop myself in a creative and intelligent environment. The LinkedIn post with the whole team working on a customer journey map really convinced me it was a fantastic idea.”

We think that’s a great idea too! We’re excited to see how you develop Sophie – welcome to the team!
