New hire! Stephanie Leak

5 min read by Lauren Grubb 12 Dec 2023

It’s been a while since we last greeted a new starter, but we thought it was time to introduce you to our latest hire… Stephanie Leak!

Steph joins the StrategiQ team as an Account Manager and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in project management and communication. We’re thrilled to have her on board!

So Steph, tell us a little bit about your background.

I completed a degree in Visual Communication which led me to start a career in photography. I soon fell in love with the industry and managed to work my way up to Print and Studio Manager.

Having always had a passion for all things creative, I pivoted into the Digital Design industry, gaining all-round experience in Animation, Web, Event and Branding for a wealth of varying sectors and stakeholders. It was here that I started utilising my skills within Client Services.

We heard you have chosen country life over city life, is that right?

I uprooted my life about 1.5 years ago from the very fast-paced world of London and have fallen in love with Norfolk life. I never really wanted to move to London in the first place, but when pivoting back into the digital design industry, it was the place to learn, grow, make mistakes and challenge myself.

After COVID and the pace of life slowing down, the hustle and rush of life swarming back into the city made me realise, it was time for me to find the place I wanted to call home.

What made you want to come to StrategiQ?

When first meeting with the Directors of the business, it was clear to see that there was passion and care from the top down. I had a very open and honest interview where we talked about the behind-the-scenes operations of the business and how my role would impact this.

I had followed StrategiQ on Linkedin for a while and seeing new hires and award wins, allowed me to keep up-to-date with what was going on in the business, and also get to know the team.

Since my very first day at StrategiQ, I can tell that passion and values do run through the heart of the business and everyone wants to succeed. It’s been wonderful to see the commitment everyone brings to the company.

We’re interested to know… what’s your mission statement?

“Let’s go beyond the aesthetic of design and produce work that communicates the message, forging a meaningful connection with audiences”.

Lastly, tell us, what are your passions outside of work?

I am a cyclist, I prefer gravel, bike-packing and long-distance. I was very happy to be at the launch event with CyclingUK for the Rebellion Way and I am now on the Steering Committee for my local cycling club.

[Sounds amazing Steph, we wheelie like the sound of that… sorry continue!]

I love Halloween. It touches on many areas of creativity that are massively overlooked by the public eye such as house decorating, costumes, and planning (the Project Manager in me loves it!). It is one of the holidays that brings almost every creative element into play, not to mention the wicked Halloween campaigns that are released by the food industry.
