Lauren’s always been interested in what makes people tick, and kicked off her career with a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Marketing at the University of Lincoln. After this, Lauren moved to the smoke where she cut her teeth in the recruitment world, working for a major player to place people into permanent and temporary contracts.
She then spent time in an Account Management role. Here, she managed the whole mix, where she learned a lot about keeping clients happy! Lauren managed to squeeze in having two children around this very busy time in her life, but despite all this, she missed the buzz of recruitment. So, when a role arose at StrategiQ she jumped at the chance.
Why StrategiQ, Lauren?
Lauren has more insight into how we work than most new recruits, having been married to Operations Director, Tyler, for many years! (“Nothing she says about me is true, he jokes”). On a serious note, Lauren confirms that Tyler only says good things about his work. This made Lauren keen to join the StrategiQ family.
“There’s a real honesty and openness about the company that I love; it has a great atmosphere. You spend a lot of time at work so it’s important to help people build good and strong relationships.”
Day to day, Lauren will be supporting Chief People Officer, Sarah, in working to identify candidates for roles and will also be managing their onboarding as well as acting as a touchpoint throughout their time at StrategiQ.
What does Lauren get up to outside of work?
Lauren and Tyler are just as busy outside work as they are inside it, getting their two children out of the house to go on bike rides and hikes, growing produce on their veg patch and hanging out with their dog, Nova. They’re also busy building a coop for their latest family additions – a brood of rescue hens! Phew – good luck with that one, guys!
