It’s our favourite colourful character Charles Salmon, joining us as a Senior Website Tester and QA Analyst!
Let’s find out a bit more about Charles.
Charles has only recently joined the world of marketing. Previous to StrategiQ, Charles specialised in QA and testing for the past 8 years for a gambling company in Ipswich, who produced virtual sports games. Before QA became his forté, Charles lived and worked in Ireland in Customer Support for a large gaming company, Blizzard Entertainment. However, the Irish lifestyle wasn’t what he wanted, and he moved back to the UK with his wife to be closer to his family.
What does Charles do in his spare time?
A family man, Charles’ biggest passion is spending quality time with his beloved wife and son. Whether it’s going for a walk on a warm sunny day or taking a trip somewhere for the weekend, there’s nothing better than chilling out with his two favourite people.
His other big passion is gaming. Having come from a range of previous roles in gaming-related companies, Charles has lived his life surrounded by video games in all kinds of forms, big and small, which has continued to fuel his love for the hobby. As long as he can remember, Charles has loved playing games as well as working with them and is especially a fan of Nintendo games, including his favourite characters Mario and Zelda. He’s also an anime fan, with a keen interest in keeping up with Manga as it is released.
Why did you choose StrategiQ?
“After being in the same company for so many years I thought it was time to try something new. StrategiQ seemed very interesting and different and had a lot of positive reviews and awards, and a great atmosphere from the get-go, so I thought, why not?”
