Refining a brand identity

Branding

Calligo had an established brand however, the restructuring and evolution of their services meant that the branding and logo no longer reflected their identity. With the move from purely cloud and technical services to a forward looking business focussed on the power of data and AI the brand logo needed match.

We identified that in order for the brand to have maximum impact, a visual identity would need to be developed that could hold its own in the ever so evolving data industry. An identity that was both bold and clean, becoming a platform for the new positioning and tone of voice.

As such a new logo was created which merges the human and data elements of the business. Blending an image of a human fingerprint and complex data layers to create the futuristic Calligo ‘C’.

Imagery that tells a story

Design

Armed with the new brand guidelines the next step was to move the brand styling further forward ready to support the rollout of the new brand proposition. We moved the Calligo palette and styling away from pastel shades to a more confident and bold selection of brand colours. 

With the new visual identity complimenting the new service offering, we reinforced Calligo as a serious player in Data Services. Futuristic and tech-based imagery was sourced and created to empower the new neon style.  

All the imagery and custom iconography are based on the colour palette, but use images to tell a distinct story. Calligo’s brand imagery helps bring the brand to life – every image and design choice needed to portray the right message and directly relate to the brand story.

As Calligo added remarkable skills in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science and Data Visualisation, not to mention strong partner collaborations, they needed a web architecture that matched the business momentum.

Empowered by the evolution of the brand, we developed a full technical brief to take Calligo’s website into the future – a stylish and fully-functioning platform ready to support their ambitious growth plans. The perfect representation of the brand’s ethos around connecting human intelligence with innovative technology. 

As the data industry continues to evolve, so will Calligo’s website. Designed and built on an extensible architecture and a custom CMS theme the site beautifully articulates the Calligo story, positions the team as leaders in their field and helps connect them seamlessly with prospective businesses. 

Looking to the future

Integrated Marketing

Post launch, feedback has been incredibly positive both in regards to the sharper brand and the new online experience. Our focus has now turned to driving greater digital authority through intent-based search behaviour empowered by insights and keyword research. 

Complimenting the ‘pull’ marketing efforts, paid acquisition is being leveraged to add a ‘push’ element to lead generation. Leveraging paid search and paid social media, thought leadership content is promoted directly to VPs, CTOs, CDOs and experts in the technical operations space.

2022 is destined to be another transformative year for Calligo, with the aim to continue their surge into the data services space. Bringing new capabilities and perspectives to the market alongside remarkable experience and skills, Calligo are laying the foundations for their ultimate goal of being world leader in the data intelligence space.
