Due to our knowledge and experience within the hair and beauty industry, Academy Salons approached us to design and develop a new look website and to help improve their ongoing digital marketing efforts.
Whilst it was important to create an aesthetically pleasing site (to meet user expectations and set the tone for the brand), it was equally important to improve the local SEO rankings, while integrating Academy Salons’ popular social media channels.
We wanted to avoid the use of stock photography as it would have felt impersonal and wouldn’t have been authentic, so we commissioned our in-house AV team to produce all new salon photography, as well as a brand video to capture the mood and style of the in-salon experience.
Having completed a thorough technical audit and in-depth keyword analysis, we created a sitemap that adhered to our exacting standards for local SEO best practice. After successfully launching the new website, we now work closely with the teams across multiple salons to support with ongoing content creation, social media management and local search engine optimisation.
The Academy Salons website achieved over 2,300 goal completions in the first 3 months since its launch, with a 35% goal conversion rate, which resulted in 2,023 booking form click-throughs. Proof that a salon website doesn’t have to be a template, and can actually be a great platform for social integration and organic search results.
