It’s July already! Get those sunhats, gin and tonics and flip-flops out because it’s time to crank up the air conditioning and enjoy the summer. But… not before you’ve found out who won the coveted MVP award in June of course!

It’s been a smashing month again here at StrategiQ as we found out we’re finalists for the EADT’s Best Employer Award! So keep your eyes peeled on the 5th July to find out who won!

In June, we delved into the world of mobile-first, took a look at colour theories in branding, announced we were undertaking the Tough Mudder challenge to raise money for charity and made content people cared about – and that’s just on the blog! We also celebrated Charlie The PPC Legend’s 1 year anniversary at StrategiQ (how time flies!!) and welcomed Mike Wilson to the team as an Assistant Videographer.

After all of that excitement, we thought we’d take a break to announce the winner of June’s MVP. It’s an exciting one as ever this month and the winner had some stiff competition – here are some of the best nominations:

“I’d like to vote for Tom Cox as MVP, for really taking a hold of his social media accounts! He’s not afraid to try new things in his adverts, which have resulted in some huge results so far. He’s pioneered the movement into using captions in videos for social, which will make a big difference moving forward. He’s also a really positive influence in the office and a pleasure to work with.”

“I’d like to give some honourable mentions to Chris P, Luke and Duncan in the development team for their hard work in getting some complex web projects live and to Andrew for passing his Google Analytics exams. This month, however, my nomination goes to Adam. He’s really settled into the team over the last few months, working hard outside of working hours to deliver content across multiple websites and campaigns, sometimes at short notice, along with attention to detail – ensuring that we’re delivering quality work for our clients. Top work Adam, looking forward to seeing more content developments over the coming months.”

“My MVP nomination this month is for Ian. Whether I’m bugging him about a task brief, chasing up on client budgets or asking for feedback on content, he always finds the time to give me feedback, regardless of his increasing workload. He has truly made the ownership of client accounts his very own, most noticeably in content ideation meetings, where he feels like the human version of our clients’ brochures. He really does understand them inside out!”

It seems like a tough one again, right? Well, though we could make a case for every member of the team here to win every month, this time around our winner slammed the competition to be titled MVP.

Drum roll, please…

June MVP goes to the one, the only, Hannah Rampton!

Not only does she get a cool WWE introduction, but she also gets to take home the MVP crown and enjoy a dinner out and duvet day on us. Let’s take a look at some of the reasons why Hannah is our MVP Champion for June:

“As always, everyone has been fantastic in June, but for me, Hannah has stood out with her attention to detail, boundless energy and SEO enthusiasm. From tiny on-site updates to deep dives into keyword opportunities, Hannah has had my back all month!”

“My MVP nomination for June has to be Hannah. It’d be easy to talk about the extra work she puts into client delivery alone, but what really stood out for me this month is the effort she’s been putting in behind the scenes to streamline various processes and checks – most notably page speed analysis, and an updated forecasting tool which she’s been tinkering with. All of these things add up to a more efficient and consistent delivery in the long-term, so great work!”

“I would like to nominate Hannah for MVP this month because, in addition to doing her own work, she has been extremely helpful to myself and other members of the team in regards to knowledge share as well as proofing and evaluating work and giving useful feedback. In just the last month, I have gained so much useful industry knowledge and it is because of Hannah’s help.”

Congratulations Hannah, you’re certainly deserving of the title and we hope you enjoy your duvet day and dinner.

Love, Team StrategiQ
