It’s very rarely a landslide when the results of our monthly MVP competition are announced, but July continued the recent trend of producing a clear winner. And that winner is…
Our Head of Search, Chris Green!
Our new(?) designer Becky – she’s only been with us 8 weeks, but already feels like part of the furniture – was his nearest contender, which shows how well she’s integrated with the team and immersed herself in the company culture, but like Eren and Yasmin before him, Chris managed to distance himself from the field this month.
Voting is anonymous – although it’s not usually too difficult to work out who wrote what – but this month we thought we’d share a few snippets from the votes cast…
For Becky:
“She’s everything we look for in a person. She cares heavily for the clients she works with and will not leave until her work is done.”
“Her logical, creative thought processes make her designs fresh and on brand. The professionalism she approaches each project with really stands out, alongside her winning personality!”
For Chris P:
“People naturally wind down in the week before their holiday, however, Chris was the opposite, ensuring that his work was organised and his milestones hit. Rather than just getting the job done, his ownership and collaboration with Simon ensured the websites we launched while he was off were fully optimised and ready to go.”
For Simon:
“During his relatively short time here he’s really been getting stuck in with ways to smooth out processes, build things quicker and do things better. This attitude and approach has been consistent from day one and it’s a real asset to the team.”
And for our winner, Chris G:
“Chris is always awesome, and is always there to offer advice, provide support and generally be a leader. It’s hard to imagine StrategiQ without Chris – we’re lucky to have him!”
“Chris is always there for solid guidance and makes time for you in his busy schedule. I’d like to applaud Chris’s commitment, generosity and motivation, taking an evening or two out of precious family time to steer the team towards success with our Google Analytics exams.”
“It’s very easy to take Chris for granted because he is so consistently excellent!”
The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed a reference to Google Analytics exams – did someone say “100% pass rate”? Watch this space for a future blog about GA and why we’ve all been locked away in the evening and at weekends, swatting up like crazy!
So, congratulations to Chris G for scooping the MVP award this month. The bar has been set very high indeed. We hope you make the most of your ‘duvet day’ (please don’t spend it working from home!) and enjoy your evening out on the company.
