Over a month ago – we announced that we were finalists in the East Anglian Daily Times Suffolk Business Awards for the SME of the Year and the Best Employer categories.
Over 250 entries were submitted this year by local businesses and today we are proud to formally announce that we were awarded the title of Best Employer-sponsored by Birketts and Pure – at this year’s event!
Becoming the Best Employer
So now you know we’re the “Best Employer” in Suffolk – but how did we get here?
In 2018, following our very first Best Employer Survey, we won Best Employer in Digital and Technology in the Best Employers Eastern Region Scheme, but fell short after being named finalists in the Best Employer category in the 2018 Suffolk Business Awards. To us, this wasn’t a loss but instead an opportunity for us to really reflect and analyse our employee engagement, company culture and employee wellbeing strategies.
Although the results from our survey were incredibly positive in all areas – the past year has seen us sharpen our focus on the ways we can support our employees with their mental, physical and personal wellbeing. This has included hiring a psychologist, launching a corporate gym membership, evolving our PDPs into coaching sessions and more.
