October and November have been exciting, action-packed months for StrategiQ, as we welcomed three new faces to our team! As we continue to grow at an astonishing rate, we’ve built up our team of dedicated marketing, design and technical specialists to be stronger than ever.
October welcomed talented web developers Luke Tubby and Duncan Brown, and November introduced social media marvel Tom Cox to the integrated marketing team.
Get to Know Our New Recruits
Luke started out as an apprentice straight after college and went on to train as a Front-end Web Developer, specialising in WordPress and working on ecommerce sites mainly. Outside of work, he’s normally found spending time with friends at his local pub, at the gym or playing on one of the 19 games consoles he’s collected – the oldest one being 17 years older than Luke himself.
Luke told us why he was eager to join the team:
“I’ve always gravitated towards front-end web development; that way, I get to work with the side of the website that the users see and interact with. I take great satisfaction from building an effective and engaging user experience. I chose StrategiQ as I’d heard good things from one of my friends and I’d been sent a company video prior to my interview, which showed a positive and vibrant office culture. Having worked here for 7 weeks now, the video certainly is a true reflection. Andy and James are keen to help team members grow and reach career goals, as well as personal goals, which makes you feel really supported and valued.”
Tom, our new Social Media Manager, is a music fan who loves going to gigs and keeping up with his favourite bands, as well as indulging in a good speciality gin! He has upped-sticks and migrated to greener pastures after working for 3 years on the client side of an online property portal and at a digital marketing agency based in London.
Tom shared his thoughts on becoming part of StrategiQ:
“I was drawn to the StrategiQ ethos of encouraging creativity and building upon ideas. The passion and enthusiasm shown when I first met Andy and Chris G impressed me immensely, particularly their vision for social media and how they are developing it into the overall marketing strategy. Moving from London to Suffolk has also brought a different pace of life – no longer having to deal with train or tube delays has been glorious! I’m looking forward to getting to grips with a new group of clients and contributing to StrategiQ’s ongoing success.”
Last but not least, our second new Web Developer, Duncan, started out as a hobbying developer whose passion has grown into a career over the 16 years he’s been at it. Duncan has since worked for various marketing agencies, using a wide range of technologies to create web solutions for household name brands as well as local SMEs, helping them achieve their business goals.
Duncan shared this about joining the StrategiQ dev team:
“I wanted to join StrategiQ due to the wide variety of interesting clients in their portfolio and the attention to detail that goes into everything the team produces. I’m excited to be here and looking forward to being a part of the next wave of success at StrategiQ.”
Welcome chaps!
