It’s finally December! The trees are up, the jingle bells are a-playin’ and we’re all gearing up for the last push before the Christmas holidays.
The run-up to Christmas is always a busy time at StrategiQ – not only do we have the challenge (and fun!) of preparing some of our retail clients for the festive rush, but we’ve also got lots to plan and prepare for the coming year – one that’s sure to be even busier than the last!
In 2019, we welcomed almost 20 new wonderful people into the team, launched a huge number of websites, made some great industry connections and continued doing what we do best – delighting our clients! Being the end of the year, it also means there’s one last MVP to announce in 2019.
Without further ado, let’s get right into our favourite nominations for November’s MVP.
“Be has really shown her ability with her designs in the last month. Her imagination stretches far and wide, and she’s always got an answer to a problem or question when it comes to getting things to look just right. She’s really shone out for me this month, especially with her creative interactive designs recently, which have given us a great opportunity to showcase our full variety of design skills! Well done for your hard work Be, own it!”
“Firstly, a huge congratulations to both Bex and Kara for their DevelopHer awards. They both not only demonstrated their expertise but also their dedication and care for the StrategiQ brand. Another massive shoutout to Sarah too, who put herself outside of her comfort zone to deliver a brilliant keynote at the awards. This month I would like to nominate Duncan for MVP. He quietly goes about his work, but often puts in more hours than humanly possible to deliver projects on time, to standard and to meet client expectations. He helps out other members of the team at a moment’s notice and also helps to push forward the delivery of the development team whilst working closely with James to establish the Midlands office and onboard Adam to the team. Phew, you deserve a day off, Dave!”
“For me, MVP this month has to go to Oli. Oli has been doing a fantastic job balancing his account management responsibilities and SEO delivery with Kara and Levi. Alongside his day-to-day responsibilities, Oli has also been putting in the time (outside of work) to build up his own brand and represent StrategiQ with industry talks, something he hadn’t done before but now is a seasoned pro!”
Despite these amazing nominations, there is a clear winner this month; somebody who has arguably been a dark horse, working away in the background, quietly forming some incredibly strong foundations for the team moving forward. This month’s winner has been tenacious, had a huge impact on the team and our clients, and consistently offers value left right and centre to both our clients and the everyday running of StrategiQ.
You got it, this month’s winner is none other than head of client services and all-round wonderful person, Gemma White!
Let’s take a look at some of this absolute gem’s nominations.
“We definitely underestimate how lucky we are to be benefitting from the experience of this superstar. Maybe because of how uncomfortable praise makes her feel! Gemma has been truly exceptional over the last month. Her focus on client happiness is an inspiration to others and the respect she commands from the team is clear to see. Everyone who works with her seems to learn and improve, which is a testament to her knowledge, attitude and dedication. Thank you, Gemma.”
“I think it’s about time Gemma is recognised as MVP! Since Gemma started at StrategiQ she has had a phenomenal impact internally with the team and with our clients. The extent of her support for, and impact on, the business couldn’t fit in this box, so I’ll just say thank you, Gemma. You deserve an additional day off over Christmas!”
Gemma has been an absolute rock for the team; she treats everyone at StrategiQ like her family and really shows her caring side, not only for clients but for every single person she works with. Gemma truly deserves every ounce of praise she gets – she has become an invaluable part of the team and life wouldn’t be the same without her. Congratulations Gemma – have yourself a well-deserved award, day off and dinner out on us!
