We’re unlocking a new era of CRM and email marketing that’s set to revolutionise the way we connect with customers. We’ve been busy growing our Customer Experience team that will help take us on this journey.
Joining us in the role of CRM Manager, Suzanne Lynam brings over 9 years of experience and particular expertise in e-commerce across the beauty, fashion, and luxury verticals. She loves getting stuck into a brand’s database, pulling out insights to inform segmentation and personalisation, tailored automations, and customer lifecycle planning.
We sat down with Suzanne to learn a little more about her journey to date and what brought her to StrategiQ…
So, Suzanne, tell us a little bit about your background.
I was born in Belgium and grew up in Cornwall where a few of my family still reside. I moved to complete a degree in Speech Communication at the University College London. I was sucked in by the city and decided to stay put. I landed on my career path a bit by accident – starting out as a Marketing Assistant, where I discovered email and haven’t looked back since.
Now with 9 years of experience acquiring and retaining customers, I have had exposure to a wide range of industries; from professional services and SAAS through to e-commerce and fast-moving consumer goods. Travel, beauty, fashion – you name it, I’ve been lucky enough to work on it.
What’s been your top career highlight so far?
Landing some really big-name brands at my last agency was exhilarating. These included the likes of MADE.com, Emma Bridgewater and Wrangler to name a few.
Development and coaching of fellow team members has also been another highlight – getting good feedback from peers on shared expertise has made me very proud and something I’d like to continue contributing within my new role.
What made you want to come to StrategiQ?
Lauren Boyton was a large influence in my pursuit of a career at StrategiQ. You could immediately see how knowledgeable she was and how good she would be as a mentor to me and my growth.
It’s also amazing to work for a larger agency than I have experienced before – it is cross-functional and comes with a lot of opportunities to work with different departments which was really appealing to me.
What’s something you’d say you’re exceptionally good at?
To date, I have had great feedback on the positive impact I have had on those around me, whether that’s through delivering great client work or coaching/supporting colleagues.
My presentation and public speaking skills have also been highly commended – I recently spoke at Inbox Expo, an email conference in Valencia which was a pinch-me moment for sure!
What’s the best part of working agency-side for you?
As I’m sure most people answer, the variety of clients is so much fun. The subjection to different business models, brands, and ways of thinking is great.
Moving away from all the business talk – tell us what a perfect day off would look like to you!
Outside work, I enjoy outdoorsy pursuits including climbing and archery, singing in my choir, and exploring museums and galleries.
Right now, to wind down, I’m hooked on a Playstation game called Genshin Impact. It’s the most incredible virtual world and I love just exploring!
What is the best way to approach you?
I love a good pun! So you’ll always have a friend in me if you throw one of these into your intro. I’m also a sucker for a good philosophical chat – small talk is fine, but if there’s a big topic to break down – I’m your woman.
