February has been an amazing month for the business including a significant award win for our work with the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to win the WP Engines ‘Committed to Give Back’ Agency Partner Award for our work with David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation. To be shortlisted alongside incredible projects such the ‘Clooney Foundation for Justice’ and the ‘Cost of Inequity’ is really humbling. We felt aligned with the conservatory mission of this organisation, and that passion spilt over into our dedication to this project. Our commitment to driving purpose with performance motivated us to ensure that they have the digital tools they need to raise awareness, secure donations and provide crucial accessible educational content to facilitate their incredible work into the future. We’re proud to be an extension of their team and to support them into the future.”
-James Bavington, Chief Product Officer at StrategiQ
“The Committed to Give Back category was our most competitive this year, with 51 highly detailed, compelling entries representing some truly great organizations. This project was up against big-name competition, but what set it apart was the sheer love and labor that went into it.
StrategiQ took a step aside from their normal run of business to give this project the level of attention and detail they felt it deserved. Cleaning up a legacy database, designing a block-based editor that makes it intuitive for nonprofit staff to add content while maintaining the site’s visual integrity—these may not be the most visible forms of giving back, but they make an enormous difference to the people who inherit this site and rely on it to further their mission. Making their job easier is a meaningful gift.
And the impact speaks for itself. The new site isn’t just beautiful and performant—it’s driving real engagement. Visitors are spending a minute and a half longer on the site, engaging more deeply with the storytelling that furthers its mission. That increased visibility has led to real-world opportunities, like being booked by the BBC to share their expertise. And ultimately, that makes a difference in the lives of pangolins, endangered elephants, chimpanzees, and people. We all share one planet, and protecting it matters.
We loved the story of the agency’s work. We loved the story of DSWF. And we loved the cause. It’s hard not to be excited about a site like this.”
– Phil Jarrett, Associate Creative Director, Brand Campaigns at WP Engine
To win the category was an amazing achievement, but finding out that we’d won it by a unanimous vote across all of the judges was really incredible. Some of the judges comments included:
“I loved the fluidity of the flow on this site, both on desktop and mobile. Elements moved seamlessly, creating a visually engaging experience. The focus on high-quality imagery strengthened the storytelling, making it a site I wanted to keep exploring. From the moment I landed on the homepage, the story and intention of the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation were clear. Everything—from the copy to the visuals—was designed to draw users deeper. I had no notes—this was a stellar user experience. This was the clear winner for me.”
– Riley Cullen, Sr. Editor at WP Engine (and category judge)
“Because of StrategiQ, more people are funding conservation, and supporting DSWF’s fight to protect endangered species. Their work ensures the foundation isn’t just surviving online—it’s thriving. And that’s something worth roaring about! To the StrategiQ team—your passion and generosity made a real impact. We’re thrilled to recognize your work.”
– Kimberly Molloy, Culture & Engagement Team Lead (and category judge)
In response, the Chief Executive of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation, Georgina Lamb kindly said:
“StrategiQ has been an incredible partner for DSWF in bringing to life our work, stories, and impact in a digital setting. Their commitment to our conservation and environmental success ensures they are a partner in every sense of the word. They take the time to understand the space we’re operating in, the challenges and the opportunities needed to connect with our audience and fulfil our mission. The team works hard to address root cause issues to ensure long term-impact over short term wins every time. As a charity focused and ‘committed to giving back’ they are with us every step of the way.”
