And just like that, summer has come to an end. But here at StrategiQ, the sun keeps shining because it’s our favourite time of the month – when we get to celebrate the incredible work happening behind the scenes, thanks to our dedicated team.
At the end of each month, our MVP initiative allows the team to nominate a colleague who has demonstrated exceptional effort and dedication in their work.
Before we find out which brilliant individual gets a duvet day and a meal out on the company, let’s give a shoutout to some of the other top performers who came close to claiming the prize.
Our Designer Daisy Sturgeon has taken her designs and creativity to new heights with her latest work being described as beautiful and transformative.
“I think Daisy deserves MVP this month. Her designs for SGV are absolutely outstanding. Her attention to detail is evident right from the homepage down to the tiny little bespoke icons she’s illustrated. Not only this, but I’ve seen how Daisy has taken on feedback with respect to UX/SEO/CX reviews and you can see that she’s learnt to address that in designs going forward. Daisy – I know you’re quite shy and nervous for people to see your work, but you need to accept that you are fantastic at what you do and allow yourself to feel pride and confidence in your work with the level of skill you demonstrate consistently.”
Do we have a new data wizard on our hands? Our Senior Insights & Data Specialist Dylan Watling has been praised for his support, problem-solving and expertise by the whole team.
“When the “Freak in the Sheets” decides to enjoy the Greek sun for two weeks, then you need someone who throws themselves in at the deep end with our biggest client and steps up to the Sheets. Really impressed with how much Dylan has just hit the ground running, the pacing report that we have for our clients is brilliant and he’s taken ownership of the Custom Heat attribution report. Always helpful and always finds a solution!”
Our powerhouse Senior Web Developer, Richard Podd, has truly stood out this month, effortlessly juggling challenges with his trademark calm and collected approach.
“As summer draws to a close and we look out ahead for the Value Conference and new year – one huge step for the agency has taken place in the background. My MVP vote this month has to go to Richard. He’s worked tirelessly across projects without fuss or complaint as he continues to prove himself a VERY capable full-stack developer, taking on more and more of the complex back end work usually reserved for Duncan. The Jacada team is doing a sterling job – they all deserve an MVP win in their own right, but I’ve been very impressed with Richard going above and beyond the day-job. Well done Richard.”

Our Finance Manager, Victoria Scannell, has been an absolute superstar this month. Her hard work, unwavering commitment, and exceptional organisational skills truly make her an invaluable team player.
“Vicki has been a superstar, not just this month but the whole year. She is so passionate about her work. You may think it is difficult to get passionate about number crunching, but Vicki is like a dog with a bone when it comes to project profitability, calculating the impact of contractors before signing off PO’s, making sure everything has been invoiced, trying to reduce costs, chasing any debt and so much more. This month I enjoyed a very relaxing break knowing that Vicki had everything in hand. I set her goals before I went, and she smashed all of them which meant I came back to a very clean year end and a solid financial plan for next year which ultimately saved me lots of time. Thank you Vicki for your passion, tenacity, willingness to learn and to take on new challenges. Thanks also for being an all round superstar. Looking forward to setting more goals to smash in the new financial year.”
