Every Monday, the StrategiQ Team make their picks as to their top 5 favourite websites of the week.
And the winners are…
1. ChickenbotÂ
The winner of this week’s Web Top 5 is chosen based on its investment in simplicity. Offering a simple scrolling mechanic, that is complemented well by the clever usage of animation, bold text and striking imagery, this site does an excellent job of foregrounding its product as an extremely appealing proposition. The limited colour pallet also works well in placing the product as the main focus of the site.
2. Sid Lee Dashboard
The second site this week finds its way into the Web Top 5 for an entirely different reason. Whilst the winner was subtle and understated, the Sid Lee Dashboard is all about information and movement. The ever moving, ever-evolving mechanics of the site are complemented well by a muted black and white colour scheme.
3. Warby Parker
The Warby Parker website is an excellent example of how a product can use a website as a virtual try before you buy experience. The Men’s and Women’s section of the site both allow quick changes of colour without having to change page as well as a virtual try on of frames, which all add to the site’s unique versatility.
4. Reebok
As one would expect from such a powerful brand, the Reebok website is an impressive site. In foregrounding its vibrant range of products with video and a patterned colour pallet, the Reebok site expresses considerable confidence in its subject matter. We really like this site.
5. One John St
The fifth and final website on the list is the One John St site. It’s clever map system, complemented by a subtle colour palette and design is an extremely clever method of sharing properties in what is a very trendy destination.
