Every Monday, the StrategiQ Team make their picks as to their top 5 favourite websites of the week.
And the winners are…
1. Ferrari
The winner of this week’s Web Top 5 is the ultimate in high end products. Ferrari’s incredible website is stacked with beautiful moving videos, really showcasing the brand and what is an awesome car. The site’s slick typography is also key to its aesthetic beauty and it is abundantly clear that this is a big budget, high end site. The website works through the entire design process through to the manufacturing of the car, giving a real personal feel and an insight to what is a generally inaccessible, high end product.
2. Aldrovandi
The second website in this week’s Web Top 5 is another typically high end product. The Aldrovandi website is a fantastic showcase of its incredible hotels. its focus on images that really wow juxtaposes well against an unusual, unconventional layout, also highlighted by a simple left menu bar. It is a classy website that really gives it users a taste of what to expect from Aldrovandi.
3. Ben & Jerry
Third in this week’s Web Top 5 is a web designer’s dream. Quirky and bright with its own unique personality typical of the Ben & Jerry brand, the site’s responsive version works extremely well with clear call outs and a gloriously uncluttered feel throughout. The how to make ice-cream steps as well as the selection of videos are also important to the site’s quirky persona. We love this site.
4. Arsenal
The fourth site on the list this week belongs to Premier League football club, Arsenal. The site is well stacked with engaging content for fans, which includes fan info, club shop and events. Such a plethora of information can be cluttered, but not so on the Arsenal website which is well arranged, particularly in comparison against other club websites.
5. Handimania
The fifth and final site in this week’s Web Top 5 is the Handimania. The most festive site on the list, Handimania is enjoyably reminiscent of Pinterest in terms of its somewhat random layout. The products are what make this site and its wonderful handmade feel is perfect for this time of year.
