Every Monday, the StrategiQ Team make their picks as to their top 5 favourite websites of the week.
And the winners are…
1. Jova Construction
Interactive, visually stimulating, not overcrowded, plentiful, well composed photography, neutral colour palette, animated buttons, this is definitely not your typical construction company website. An excellent combination of design and functionality, the website perfectly reflects the website’s statement: “The second generation, which is leading the company today, is passionate about design, art and integrated technology”. It’s light and airy feel is present throughout the site in terms of hero imagery, effects and font choices, ensuring that Jova Construction is a worthy winner of this week’s Web Top 5.
2. Tooth & Claw
The second site in this week’s Web Top 5 is Tooth and Claw. Drawn in by an initial searching flashlight, the site develops with strips of images providing a mere glimpse of what each piece of video is about. The video content is a combination of various commercials, music videos and events, which in themselves are art pieces; edgy, interesting and shot beautifully. Despite minimal navigation options, Tooth and Claw is instantly understandable and a good reflection of the brand.
3. Le Cord
Rounding off the top 3 is Le Cord. Representing the ultimate posh accessory for the super chic geek, Le Cord is characterised by huge header images, simple elegant design and photography that is contemporary and creative as well as being playful throughout. The e-commerce aspect of the site excellently showcases the product, with a ‘no fuss’ text layout, befitting the sharp branding of Le Cord. An excellent user journey and relaxed, happy shopping experience ensures that this site is worthy of its place in the Web Top 5.
4. Christopher Hewitt
We simply love the grid design of this website, characterised by some truly wonderful photography, none more so than the ferocious tiger that represents the Infinity project. It’s simple and easy navigation is very pleasing whilst the image heavy nature of the site does not in any way hinder the website’s load times. Further investigation of the site will lead you to a very elegant contact form, that we can’t get enough of.
5. Dragone
Finishing this week’s Web Top 5 is Dragone. The hero area of this site immediately captures your attention, being beautifully crafted and having interactive areas (i.e. rain) present. The animated menu at the top is also a nice feature whilst the parallax effect throughout looks great and doesn’t compromise load time. A really nice site.
