AO – Easy to Use E-commerce
The AO.com site is pure and simply a wonderfully easy to use ecommerce website. The landing page presents you with everything you need, meaning that you don’t need to go looking for anything deep within the navigation.
The site presents you with a form that makes it incredibly easy to drill down into product categories and find exactly what you need. As you progress through the form, the product number changes allowing you to see if you would get any results from the search before the search which is such a beautifully subtle way of stopping someone doing a redundant search.
The order functionality is easy, it’s one page, no multiple pages of registering or filling in pages of forms.
The background image on the homepage is a collage of images of happy customers with their products, which works hand in hand with their TV advertising which focuses on how easy it is to order from AO and how they focus on customer experience, which is also evident via the website experience.
