And the winners are…
1. Palais Coburg
The winner of this week’s Web Top 5 is the site from Palais Coburg. The use of stunning imagery throughout the site is where the strength of this website really lies, and its usage of classical fonts compliments the imagery well. The website’s ‘voice’ also matches the classy exterior, with messages such as “We cordially invite you to book your room now”, presenting a favourable and integrated website experience.
2. Vito Salvatore
The second site in this week’s Web Top 5 has been chosen based on its usage of imagery and navigation to make an effective sales pitch of the designer’s work. It’s parallax scrolling function is an innovative way to display the portfolio of the site is a different way. Great imagery plays a big part in this site.
3. Eagle Clean
At StrategiQ, we really like the third site on the Web Top 5. The Eagle Clean website is on first appearance, a very simple site, scaled back with a simple navigation. What separates the site from the masses is a superbly clever animation of a big rubber glove cleaning the screen, showing a huge amount of innovation.
4. Toca Boca
In fourth place on this week’s Web Top 5 is Toca Boca. Essentially an app creator of wonderful interactive kids games. The colourful, bold illustrations are brought to life in a variety of apps. The layout and navigation is quirky and set alongside the clear calls to action in the footer and email, persuade you to buy merchandise, magazines and apps.
5. Gogoro
Finally on the Web Top 5 list for this week is the Gogoro website. It’s slick, fresh design is characterised by a strong colour palette, majorly showcasing the star of the show, the ‘Gogoro’. The photography, graphics and animation throughout are well thought through and the titles on the navigation, ‘Faster, Smarter, Easier’ etc. really sell the concepts around the product.
