Appointment of former Chief Operating Officer of Billion Dollar Boy and international best-selling author powers the way for our ambitious growth programme.
With the business continuing to experience incredible growth, it was time to add an extra layer of expertise to support our continued focus and drive us towards our vision of becoming a destination agency for clients and talent.
Enter our new Chief Operating Officer: Chantell Glenville, former Chief Operating Officer of Billion Dollar Boy and international best-selling author of What Clients Really Want (And the S**t That Drives Them Crazy).
Chantell, who will be based in our London office, will use her wealth of experience, particularly related to Client Experience/Services, to lead our fast-growing London-based team.
A word from our CEO
Chantell’s appointment has the direct effect of freeing up our CEO, Andy Smith, to work more closely with our clients, strategies and industry partners as we continue to grow and develop our business. Andy comments:
“For me, it’s great for everyone in the agency to see we have grown to a point where we can attract the industry’s top talent and for clients to know we are upskilling in every part of our business.
“Chantell’s appointment is a direct reflection of the business’s ambition; both in terms of the clients that we’re working with, and the talent that we’re bringing into the agency. Handling the needs of both local and international clients, as well as complex, award-worthy campaigns, demands a certain level of experience to drive standards, processes and results.
“The continued investment in our existing leadership team and now with the wealth of experience and industry knowledge Chantell brings to the board, means that we can continue to drive StrategiQ forward and offer more to our clients than ever before.”
That’s the CEO’s thoughts… Chantell, over to you.
Chantell brings her in-depth marketing knowledge, people skills and experience growing agencies to the business. When she’s not writing, leading, strategising and marketing, you’ll find her surfing or glued to a non-fiction book.
Let’s find out a little more about her background, what makes her tick, and her hopes for the future at StrategiQ.
From Compare the Meerkat to esteemed author
“My career in advertising began at a full-service agency where I worked as an assistant in the media planning and buying team. A year later, I started my first job in a creative advertising agency at VCCP Blue where I worked on everything from large spend TV advertising to hotel conference brochures, video games and staff canteen branding. We were a very small team when I joined, but after we won the pitch that led to the Compare The Market campaign with Aleksandr the Meerkat, that all changed rapidly. This is what gave me my first insight into the stages of growth agencies go through and the challenges they face along the way.”
“Following this, I went on to work at the integrated agency AMV BBDO, as well as the digital agency Dare, before going client side to Vodafone.”
“My experience both client and agency-side led me to writing a book on how to create great client relationships: What Clients Really Want (And the S**t That Drives Them Crazy). I’d noticed over the years that it was the same recurring themes that caused breakdowns in client/agency relationships and I wanted to help agencies understand clients’ worlds. Chantell Glenville, COO, StrategiQ
“More recently, I spent three years working at Billion Dollar Boy, a global influencer marketing agency, where I helped them grow from 13 to 75 people and start receiving recognition as an agency to watch out for in the industry.”
You started your career in Client Services. How did you land on this?
“I’ve always been interested in how people think, what motivates them and how they all hold different views of the world. I studied Philosophy at university and happened to stumble across client services in advertising as a potential career option in my last year. It felt like the perfect way to combine my interest in people, business and creativity.”
What are you looking forward to the most in your role?
“I’m really looking forward to taking us through the next stage of growth to achieve our vision of being the destination agency for clients and talent. I get really excited about great creative ideas and improving how agencies are run.”
“I’ve watched StrategiQ go from strength to strength over the years and I’m honoured to be joining an agency which is so focused on driving excellent results for its clients, as well as being one of the best places to work for its employees.” Chantell Glenville, CEO, StrategiQ
“The team really set themselves apart in their strategic approach; a quality that will be indispensable in navigating the changing economic landscape ahead, shoulder-to-shoulder, with clients. I really look forward to continuing the growth and success the agency has already achieved alongside Andy and the rest of the leadership team.”
