The StrategiQ Marketing Team will be attending this year’s BrightonSEO

This Friday 12th September, StrategiQ Marketing will once again be attending the UK’s leading SEO Conference, BrightonSEO. Situated at the Brighton Dome, the conference opens it doors to almost 2,500 attendees every year. Running from 10:00 until 18:00, September’s BrightonSEO includes talks on Local SEO vs. Organic SEO, the future of Google and the secrets behind building newsworthy content.

Having attended every BrightonSEO conference since the company’s inception, StrategiQ’s attendance has become an important date in the calendar of the company being an excellent opportunity to consolidate our knowledge of the current trends in search engine marketing. With the industry moving at a daunting rate of knots and the likes of Google frequently changing the goalposts for search engine marketers, the importance of BrightonSEO cannot be underplayed in providing a comprehensive revision of the industry’s position.

It’s been a big year for the SEO industry as the importance of the service continues to gain greater credence beyond just the digital marketing community. Arguably the most compelling new of the year has been Google’s reluctance to update the Penguin 2.1 Algorithm in over 11 months, the longest space between updates yet recorded by Google. The reason for this reluctance to update has been the subject of much discussion within the industry, not least from Search Engine Land.

StrategiQ examined Google’s important changes to the local search aspect of Google, dubbed by industry insiders as Google Pigeon in response to its location search function, earlier in the year, and it has become clear that the update is one the key changes to the industry in the last 12 months.
