Oh My Josh it’s January’s MVP

7 min read by Levi Clucas 2 Feb 2021

It’s 2021! And what a start to the year we’ve had already! Digital Annual Awards, lockdowns, welcoming new faces, launching websites and more in just a month! But the turn of the month into February means it doesn’t stop there. We’re back celebrating our monthly MVPs, and I can imagine it’s quite a tough act to follow to win MVP right after the awards, but someone does it every year and this one was no exception. If anything, this month’s top 3 were a bit of a landslide – but we’ll find out more about that a bit later. First off, let’s enjoy some of the nominations for the rest of the team!

“In addition to his busy schedule, Adam illustrated first hand this month, quite simply, why he’s a master of his trade. In a bid for MVP at the start of the month, Adam put together a great copywriting workshop for the team with the main objectives of helping us tidy up our copy and aid our writing skills. The entire presentation was delivered confidently and structured thoughtfully, opening up the conversation with the wider team to discuss common mistakes as well as tips and tricks. Adam was truly able to show why he’s mighty with the keyboard, the attention to detail and the way it was presented demonstrates his knowledge within his chosen field and passion for his craft.”

“I’m going to vote for Dan Long this month. Even though there’s a ton of great work being done by the marketing guys, I think Dan deserves to win MVP for the impact he’s making on the production team. Dan gave a great presentation in the last week and yet again brought more ideas to a Code Review session generating some great possibilities for dev in the future.”

“Considered, thoughtful, calm and diligent. Jordan has demonstrated a maturity and commitment that is impressing clients and ensuring we remain proactive and in control. Combined with his drive to improve his knowledge and willingness to listen and really understand a client’s needs Jordan is a clear MVP choice.”

“Choosing my MVP for this month was incredibly tough, everyone has put a real shift in with lots of great work being delivered across the board. But, this month my vote is for Levi. Levi has demonstrated her commitment to growth by blitzing the Google Ads exams on the path to further uniting SEO & PPC, she also continues to drive expertise and awareness of the agency by delivering super GMB sessions. Keep it up Levi!”

“Every interaction I have with Poppy is just effortlessly brilliant. Not only is she a great marketer, but her compassion, proactivity and organisation shine through every time. Not only did she 100% deserve to be Marketer of the Year, but she continually demonstrates what it means to be a member of the StrategiQ Marketing team!”

Some short, yet sweet moments to savour after a tough, busy, exciting and rewarding month to start the year off. For January’s MVP there were three clear favourites, with the majority of votes across the board. It was a close one, with only a couple of votes between 3rd place and the winner – there’s been some real big players this month and the team have certainly noticed it!

So in third place, with a huge number of votes, was our social butterfly and willing wordsmith Sophie Coe! Sophie has been spreading her knowledge and sunshiney demeanour across the team like a hearty jam sandwich and it’s definitely not gone unnoticed.

“There was no doubt in my mind who I was going to vote for as MVP this month. At each and every turn this month Sophie has proved that she’s MVP material.

Not only has Sophie taken the lead and created a trustful and flourishing relationship with her clients, but she’s also single-handedly delivered some of the best quality social media marketing we’ve done as an agency, and opened the door for us to deliver even more creative campaigns in the future. She’s worked tirelessly lifting new social strategies off the ground, with great feedback from the client and posting engaging content.

It doesn’t stop there – Sophie’s also been honing a new set of skills, learning how to set up and run paid social campaigns with Poppy’s help, arranging a Pinterest Advertising training call for the team and brushing up on her video editing/GIF-making skills to widen the scope of her social asset creation.

She’s also been a true bastion of patience, tirelessly working through content upload after content upload for a handful of new client websites.

Mad respect, Soph.”

In second place, and very close behind the winner, is cheeky chappy Account Manager Jordan Bambridge! Jordan has smashed this month with his tenacity in training, creating great relationships with clients and being an all-round top lad.

“My MVP for this month has to be Jordan! His commitment to making the most of lockdown and upskilling himself has been nothing less than inspiring and speaks volumes for his own drive and ambition. From WordPress to Amazon, it’s obvious that Jordan is VERY ambitious and committed to personal and team development. On top of this, he’s really taken ownership over his accounts and is developing brilliant relationships with clients. Always easy to work with, responsive and helpful, Jordan is the kind of team member everybody wants to work with. Give this guy a duvet day and money for Jaffa cakes!”

He loves a Jaffa cake does our Jordan.

And with that, we meet our winner! Having only been with us a few months, our winner has really made some waves in the company and we’ve realised he was what we all needed – our data man. (I’m sure he’ll love that new nickname).

“I really think Josh is overdue for an MVP win! The quality of client work and deliverables that he has produced over the last few months and again in January is outstanding. The CRO/UK audits, the reporting work, the R&D – pushing the boundaries of what is possible in terms of attribution. He has also helped me personally in the pursuit of numerous new performance dashboards and reports which again required an expert level of data handling in order to make possible. Couple all this with a ‘can-do’ attitude, organisation, independent allocation of his own time and workload…..a worthy winner is an understatement!”

Congratulations Josh, you’ve really had a big impact on the team, long may it continue!

If you wanna win your very own MVP, you’ll have to join us first. Take a look at our current career opportunities or get in touch with us to find out more.
