Mr Electric is a local electrical franchise business and part of the Neighborly Group, operating throughout the United States, United Kingdom and seven other countries.
Within the UK, Mr Electric has ten franchisees and continues to grow. StrategiQ were invited to tender a strategy for a new website platform that would provide a solid foundation for a local digital marketing strategy.
The brand’s in-house marketing team set very specific objectives for the project. Not only did the new platform need to accommodate the concurrent rebrand being undertaken by the company, it also had to offer a scalable, easy-to-maintain single solution. Each franchisee had their own standalone website of varying quality, and the SEO equity of these multiple sites needed to be consolidated into a single combined website, with all franchisees having access to a powerful, consistent and up-to-date CMS website platform.
It was also important for the new platform to achieve compliance in advance of the GDPR legislation rolled out in May 2018; provide a fast, mobile-first user-experience; ensure visible reporting and attribution for each franchise on lead-generation; employ grounded, best-practice conversion tactics within the design and user experience; generate customer reviews with a new NPS survey; and promote reviews on Google and Facebook.
