La Casa Loco is a well-known and well-loved Mexican restaurant in Rugby, with a growing number of positive reviews across platforms such as Trustpilot and ResDiary.
The restaurant approached StrategiQ with a view to rebuilding its website so that it provided a better customer experience and helped the brand perform well in search. The primary objective was to receive less phone bookings, with more customers being driven to make reservations via the ResDiary widget on the website.
The secondary objective for the new website was to captivate La Casa Loco’s target audience and portray its colourful, high-end reputation.
To help the brand achieve its primary objective, we placed an eye-catching, animated CTA in the hero area of the homepage, which encouraged people to book a table through the existing ResDiary booking platform.
This was vital to capture the attention of new site visitors and drive them to make a booking quickly and easily. Providing a logical and clear navigation was also an integral part of the project.
Throughout the creative process, we wanted to focus on bringing the personality of the restaurant into the designs. La Casa Loco is a “mini Mexico”, priding itself on delivering high-quality food and an authentic experience for customers both old and new. And with a name that directly translates as “mad house”, it is also vibrant, fun, and full of energy.
That’s why creating a real party feel through the use of colour, pattern and supportive illustrations – while remaining modern and high-end – was so important.
Finally, it was essential to really sell the quality of the food and the unique vibrant decor. Our production team were commissioned to photograph and film the array of cuisine, as well as the craft and energy within the restaurant.
The end result was a library of great photography and a video that perfectly reflected the restaurant’s personality – something to really whet both customers’ proverbial and physical appetite.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable project to work on for everyone involved, and which most importantly left us with a very happy client.
