We’ve done it again! StrategiQ has snapped up yet another fabulous fish from the talent pool – Pony mad powerlifter and Production Manager, Sharon Paxman! Sharon’s role involves helping our developers and designers with scheduling, running projects and working closely with Becky and Roisin to keep the team moving.
Let’s find out a little more about Sharon’s experience in the marketing world.
Sharon, also known as Shaz or Paxo, is a video production geek, studying the subject at college and then again at university. After University, Sharon went on to join a company to manage and produce content for inflight entertainment for Airlines. Excitingly she didn’t just help produce safety videos and pop shows, but she also got to choose in-flight movies and had a special skill in sourcing European films.
She then moved on to become Production Manager at Bruizer, a creative video agency in Rendlesham, where she managed everything from explainer animations and educational videos all the way through to fancy tv ads and brand films.
Sharon then took her management skills to Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, where she managed projects that implemented key systems for operations of the cruise lines, both for the business and the ships. While she loved working with Fred. Olsen, Sharon needed something to satisfy her creative side – so she found StrategiQ!
What does Sharon do outside of work?
Sharon spends her spare time hanging out with her family, consisting of long-term partner Dan, and feline fur-baby Marley. Sharon and Dan love to go off adventuring around the British countryside in their beloved VW Campervan, and have grand plans to take it around Europe, once there’s no deadly virus afoot!
The pair love to go on spontaneous weekend coastal trips in their camper, or take their bikes around the local forests to enjoy the windy roads. When she’s not whizzing around the coats in her VW, Sharon loves to spend time at the gym – but you certainly won’t catch her on a treadmill! Sharon just loves to pick heavy things up and put them down again, so you’ll often find her in the corner deadlifting!
Sharon’s love for animals doesn’t stop at her cat Marley – she’s also a huge horse fan and has been enjoying equine company since she was only 5 years old. Nothing better than a horse’s company, am I right?
But why did Sharon wanna work with us?
“Although I enjoyed my role at FOCL, I had a craving to get back to a more creative environment. I had discovered StrategiQ about a year ago and really liked the work that they were producing, so I kept an eye out on the website careers page and thankfully a position that matched my skill set perfectly popped up! I knew they were a company that I wanted to be part of, and here I am!”
